We are committed to providing you with a safe environment during your stay. Shallow Bay Beach House has developed a Gold Standard Policy to ensure compliance with the requirements of AirBnB, Belize Tourism Board, Ministry of Health and other governmental agencies related to the COVID-19 Pandemic. We have developed an enhanced cleaning check list and allow 72 hours in between guests check ins. Our team will actively monitor the enhanced cleaning and safety standards as we focus on the health and safety of our guests and staff members.
Guests will have access to electronic copies of all sanitization and safety procedures. Guests will be provided a local cell phone to communicate with our Property Manager during their stay. We encourage limited physical contact to ensure health and safety of our guests and staff.

Our staff will take the temperature (using a thermal scanner) of all guests upon arrival. We are required to document this information and make it available upon request of regulatory agencies. We will also check the temperature of all employees prior to the start of their shift in addition to a second check during the same shift. These temperatures will also be documented and available upon request by regulatory agencies. A formal Response Plan has been developed for suspected and confirmed cases of COVID-19. This plan is available for guests to review electronically.
We can arrange ground transportation for you from the international airport, or you can rent a car with one of Gold Standard Car rentals operators.
You can catch connecting flight from International Airport to Dangriga via Tropic Air or Maya Island Air and hop in one of the Gold Standard taxis just outside the airport.
We encourage you to explore Belize during your stay at Shallow Bay and can recommend to you tour operators and guides who are Gold Standard approved and certified.
